WAYNE MORGAN - The Masked rider
Im April 1934 startete Ranger Publications das Pulp-Magazin „The Masked Rider Western Magazine“ mit dem Pulp-Helden Wayne Morgan, genannt „The Masked Rider“, dessen Sidekick der Yaqui Blue Hawk war.
Bis Juni 1937 erschienen insgesamt dreizehn Ausgabe des Western-Pulp-Magazins bei Ranger Publications.
Nach einer ‚kurzen‘ Veröffentlichungspause, wurde das „The Masked Rider Western Magazine“ im März 1938 von Better Productions fortgeführt.

Donald Bayne Hobart (1898 - 1970)
William L. Hopson (1907 - 1975)
Tom Curry (1900 - 1976)
Walker A. Tompkins (1909 - 1988)
Gunnison Steele (1906 - 1948).
Die Figur des Masked Rider war vermutlich von der sehr erfolgreichen Radio-Serie „The Lone Ranger“ inspiriert, die am 30. Januar 1933 gestartet war, und von der bis zum 3. September 1954 insgesamt 2.956 Folgen im Radio liefen.
Ab Mitte der 1940er folgte eine Comic-Serie mit dem "Lone Ranger", von der bis 1962 insgesamt 146 Ausgaben erschienen.
Von 1949 bis 1957 gab es zudem auch eine sehr erfolgreiche „Lone Ranger“- TV-Serie, die es auf fünf Staffeln mit insgesamt 217 Folgen brachte.
Doch zurück zum Pulp-Magazin „The Masked Rider Western Magazine“.
Das Pulp-Magazin wurde im März 1940 von Better Productions in „Masked Rider Magazine“ umbenannt und im April 1953 nach insgesamt 100 Ausgaben eingestellt.
